Friday 30 July 2010 A dik swell hit Durban today, with the Bluff out of control and grinding 6-8' but gnarly and frothing, while town cooked 4-5' with the odd solid wideswinger. Friday 30 July 2010 As the swell was building on the beachfront last night (cooking this morning), Musgrave Ster Kinekor was beginning to heave as Durban surfers pulled into to watch the movies being screened on the penultimate night. For the Sea of Darkness screening, which details the sordid story of how the original surf travel dream was underwritten by gangsters, drug peddlers and addicts, the audience was happy to oblige a happy snap for Spike.
