In keeping with the sustainable theme, Hay also won a Wawa Wooden Surfboards bellyboard, handslide and a set of wooden beach bats. Made from local wood and cork, the relatively new addition to the Wawa stable, Wawa beach bats are light, strong, and naturally beautiful. The handslides are also hand made out of local wood. They have a webbing strap, and are sealed in Linseed Oil to make riding a wave easier and more fun, especially in larger waves.

The belly board - a prone wave riding activity that it is thought to date as far as 2,000 BC - is made from locally harvested Obeche and Cedar wood with a Hessian core and sealed in Linseed Oil. As the Facebook post says: "Ride the waves on your belly this summer and give Covid the wooden spoon. See www.wawawave.com

Hay also won a VANS “filmmaker” hamper "so you can rock your surf-auteur steez" worth R5,000, a GoPro Hero 7 Silver action-camera worth R5,000, and a Jack Black hamper comprising a case of beer, a cap, buff and a bottle opener.

Lewis won an O’Neill steamer wetsuit worth R5,000, a Wawa handslide and set of beach bats and a Jack Black hamper, while Veltman scooped a one year Zigzag Super User Subscription, a Wavescape Festival Tote and T-shirt, and a Jack Black hamper.
