Upsized Cold Water Classic

November 08 2009.Day Six saw massive bombs detonate at Steamer Lane in the O Neill Cold Water Classic California.

One of the larger ones gets grabbed.

Ten Foot Plus is a contest directors dream come true.

Just getting into the ocean proved to be a handful.

Kinda reminds me of the Outer Kom minus the kelp. Serious conditions called for serious surfing.

The inside proved far more contestable for most of the riders.

The real locals were reduced to mear spectators for the day.

Sometimes the saftey of the channel is the best place to be.
