For just R100, enjoy summer vibes and live music, while contributing to the Outreach, which utilises surfing as a tool to change the lives of underprivileged children.
Run by passionate surfers Anthony Sievwright and Darren Nicholson, The Surf Outreach stimulates personal growth in life skills and education in the lives of children from the surrounding communities of Muizenberg.
Through positive influence and mentorship, Surf Outreach provides facilities, schooling and life skills through the daily routine of compulsory after-school education and homework as well as the physical and emotional outlet the surfing lifestyle and culture offers. In this way, the guys say, Surf Outreach children are exposed to healthy and balanced lifestyles and learn how to take control of their lives and futures, despite difficult personal and social circumstances.
The Surf Outreach team work on building lasting relationships with each child, developing surfing skills and life skills to the point where they teach others how to surf, creating a lifestyle for themselves where they become adults who contribute in a meaningful way to society. In this way, they hope these children can become ambassadors in their communities to help encourage a strong moral standing, understand the importance of a solid education, and believe in living a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Check them on Facebook here or go to www.quicket.co.za to book tickets for you and your mates and family. See you there.
