Warrior Challenge
Tues 28 August 2012 A unique bodyboarding contest has been set up in honour of David Lilienfeld, The Warrior Challenge 2012, to be held at his favourite break Glen Beach in Cape Town, it was announced by his father Dirk recently.

The contest - in conjunction with Reef Wetsuits, Coca Cola and Gutta Kings Lifestyle Clothing - will run on 22 and 23 of September (Monday 24 is a public holiday) at David's local break, Glen Beach. The contest will raise funds for Shark Spotters, NSRI and the Western Province Bodyboarding Association.
The Warrior Challenge 2012 aims to mix things up. One division, no ages groups, anyone can win, no holds barred fun in the sun under one of the most awesome natural amphitheatres on the Cape Peninsula.
This contest is set up for all friends, family and every single booger out there! There is some big money and big prizes at stake.
- 1st place gets a healthy winners cheque and a brand new REEF CAVES PP (DL Warrior Ltd) Bodyboard,
- 2nd place gets the runners up cheque and a 4/3 REEF Focus wetsuit,
- 3rd place will also receive some financial remuneration and a set of Stealth S2 fins and the O&E "one" bicep leash
- and finally 4th place will get you some cash and the O&E "one" Bicep leash and L/S Fireskin.
All boogers entering will receive a little hamper including a sick shirt.
The entry fee will be R150, and as mentioned before, there will only be one division, now seeing that all the groms always complain that they not seen as good enough to ride against the older guys. Well here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is and step up to the Warrior Challenge.
To be able to run a contest of this size over two days, space is unfortunately limited to 100 entries.
