THE KLAARKLOOF CAPERS - Episode 1
It's that same old urge again
We go back to The Vittokes, those loveable Zurban dropouts last featured in N.D. Mazin's 2013 graphic novel The Legend of Blue Mamba. Well that was going on for a decade ago and everyone's aged a bit since then.
The Vittokes live in a decaying colonial house called The Big Chillum, in Borearea, once a posh Zurban suburb, now turned shabby chic. They share the house with various human and animal tenants and companions, including Vittoke's best friend Bruinoke, who with his common-law wife Abby Rhodes and their numerous kids, make up the Prezanian folkrock ensemble, The Zany Maniacs, who perform weekly at The Shipwreck Bar in Joint Road, in Zurban's notorious harbour precinct.
An airborne invitiation from Moses Avid, the mystical guru of Klaarkloof, sends them off on a crazy road trip from Zurbs to Hope Town, stopping to surf every point break on the way. Maybe they'll bump into Blue Mamba and Rasta the Natty Dreadlock Pooch, who knows? And whatabout the egregious Y.T. Sharke, the evil CEO of Toxacorp? Surely he's gonna be interested in this expedition as well?
