The Cape Doctor

Thursday 18 Mo-vember 2010 During the spring and well into the summer, Cape Town is smacked in the chops by an intense South East wind known locally as the Cape Doctor. The Doctor does many things; it cleans the atmosphere of pollution, pollen and dust mites making the air in Cape Town crisp and clean to breath. The Doctor also sends rain inland and regulates the climate of the whole country, but most importantly The Cape Doctor scalps the sandbars of the Atlantic beaches into fine tuned barrel churning machines. Simone Robb captured the Doctor at work in a little corner of the Deep South last weekend.
