Wednesday 25 May 2011 Six days ago, a manic South Pacific swell slammed into California. Before you could blink, the Wedge in Newport was packed with TV crews and onlookers. The lineup had more riders out than Christmas at Canal Walk. The waves peaked at 15 ft and wipeouts took centre stage.
