Meet Surfing Sally

Surfing Sally is inspired by the joy of surfing on the south peninsula, where both the author Mary Duncan and the illustrator Wendy McKeag, live close to the wild blue sea and open Cape sky. Mary has offered Wavescape readers a cool special.
Sally delights in the sea and the waves she catches, and finds wonder in the sea and sky while waiting for waves to come – she sees rainbows in wave-spray and her reflections in sea foam, she sees white birds with yellow feet and black birds with red feet, shapes in the clouds, shadows on sand.
