Meet Surfing Sally

Thur 13 December 2012 Here is a kiff Christmas special for Wavescape readers: Surfing Sally, a stoked children’s story about a salty South African girl and her salty dogs have been offered at a discounted rate.

Surfing Sally is inspired by the joy of surfing on the south peninsula, where both the author Mary Duncan and the illustrator Wendy McKeag, live close to the wild blue sea and open Cape sky. Mary has offered Wavescape readers a cool special.

Surfing-Sally-COVER

Sally delights in the sea and the waves she catches, and finds wonder in the sea and sky while waiting for waves to come – she sees rainbows in wave-spray and her reflections in sea foam, she sees white birds with yellow feet and black birds with red feet, shapes in the clouds, shadows on sand.

This story is for children and adults, especially those who surf. If you don't surf, read Surfing Sally, and feel the delight.

Wavescape is offering a Christmas special: Surfing Sally for R75, including postage, to addresses in South Africa. Deposit R75 into Nedbank Claremont (104609) 1046365746 and email proof of payment and postal details to mary@milkwoodmedia.com.

Alternatively, Surfing Sally is available from www.surfingsally.com and various surf shops, book shops and gift shops in Cape Town. See website for stockists.
