Gift from Berguitta
Wednesday 24 January 2018 This gallery of photos showed how perfect Durban got on Sunday when everyone thought the NE was going to klap it. A swarm of bluebottles ended it though. Nic Aberdein was there.
Forecast NE onshores from early in the day didn't deter the rabid Durban crew from tackling the 2nd big swell of the year. Light variable winds lead to top barrels and with the tide draining, it reached near perfect but with closeouts aplenty. Bluebottles swept in about 10am as the surf began to crumble in the onshore.
