The South African Bodyboarding Championships is hosted by eThekwini Bodyboarding in association with the SA Bodyboarding Association (SABBA) and Surfing South Africa. SABA is an affiliate member of Surfing South Africa, the governing body for surf riding. Surfing South Africa is a member of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) and the International Surfing Association (ISA).
The SABA is the governing body of bodyboarding in South Africa and is a non-profit organization operating for the aim of developing and nurturing new bodyboarding talent, as well as providing rules and structure to contests from club level to national level.
