With the massive entry, another day was tacked onto the event time. Monday was that day. The series has been travelled to Durban, East London and Cape Town, with the 4th and final event set for the Eastern Cape.

The series has enjoyed good waves, and it looks the same for the final. A succession of cold fronts, west offshore winds and no end to the supply of later winter swell can be expected, says Wavescape's Spike. Apart from the series winners in all divisions there are other prizes.

BOS will be awarding the Surfer Of The Series with R20k cash and prizes. All Aboard Travel have put up a Sportsmanship Award of a return ticket to Bali with four nights accommodation valued at R20k for the surfer who displays the best sportsmanship over the series. The VonZipper Flair Up Award will go to the surfer who successfully lands the biggest or most sylish aerial move of the event.

The DaKine Youthful Movement Award goes to the surfer who performs the most innovative or progressive move performed during the competition.

With R750,000 in cash and prizes and a whole lot of prestige to it, the Billabong Junior Series is the lifeblood of our junior surfers and the series that might unearth our next prodigy, our next world champion.

The Nixon WTA (Winner Takes All) prize of an engraved Nixon watch will go to the surfer with the highest heat score. With R750,000 in cash and prizes and a whole lot of prestige to it, the Billabong Junior Series is the lifeblood of our junior surfers and the series that might unearth our next prodigy, our next world champion.
