The best junior surfers in the country have been arriving and paddling straight out into the perfect walling lines of one of the Eastern Cape's premier pointbreaks. Spike from Wavescape said that conditions would prevail, with a stiff west wind Saturday with lots of swell, which gradually tapers towards medium sized surf on Sunday, and a little smaller on Monday. Sunday looked clean in the morning, with a whiff of onshore later. Monday looked smaller 3' but with light winds and clean seas.

"It's looking like a great surfing weekend ahead of us," said Billabong South Africa Marketing Manager Chad D'Arcy.

We've extended it to a three-day event due to the massive field, and we're excited about this final event. Junior surfing is the future of our sport and we believe that this surfing series will play an important role in nurturing our young surfers into champions of tomorrow. Apart from all the series winners, we also have a number of impressive specialty prizes and we expect these to get our junior surfers going for broke in their heats.
