Days of Our Lives II
Monday 24 June 2019 In the 2nd of our new "soapie", the surferized Days of our Lives photo series, Neil Bradfield heads south to gather evidence of Neptune's bad hair day in the wake of the weekend storm.
"It all started when the bunion on my left toe started to itch. Then I noticed my granny’s goldfish begin to swim backwards, and anti-clockwise. Something fishy was going on. Panic set in. I quickly checked the Wavescape chart. And there it was - large concentric circles of converging purple and red pulsing in front of my eyes (just like the time the school bully moered me in Std 6). “Head South young man!” Flashing past the dimly lit, eerie naval ghosts ships and later a few curious ostriches, my buddy Ian and I arrived. Neptune was clearly having a bad hair day. This would not be an easy session. But off course Andy Marr was already out and on it. Jason Hayes and a few other mal-pitte quickly followed. Game on. Enjoy the pics. Remember, the last person to disclose this spot is apparently firmly set in a cube of concrete at the bottom of the naval dockyard. - Neil

According to his Instagram @neilbradfield, Neil Bradfield is: Raconteur. Ruffian. Purveyor of moments. Hoarder of split seconds. Born in africa - at a very young age. Not much more to say really - as I slip into geyser-dom the stoke is greater than ever. I split my time between Noordhoek and Greyton and shoot anything that moves. The pleasure that I get capturing /sharing images is the reward. And of course I love needling the “lighties” reminding them I surfed their “secret spots” long before they were a speck in the cosmos.
