Friday 23 September 2011 Three years in the making, and brilliantly filmed and edited. Greg Fraser’s labour of love finally sees the light at the end of the tube. From South Africa to Australia this movie is going to get you stoked and back on the road of exploration.

Contrast is the creation of underground bodyboarder and talented film maker, Greg Fraser. Its name suggests uniqueness and that is exactly what one can expect with this film. To date there has been anything released that’s quite like it, well at least not in South Africa. The quality of shots captured over the past three years of shooting and the way that it has been cut together make it an expression of art that seems timeless when watching it.
It features sessions from South Coast NSW and South Australia, Cape Town and footage from the newly explored "Golden Stretch" on the West Coast of South Africa.
As for the riders, the film features local heroes Jared Houston and Mark Mc Carthy (currently ranked 7th and 3rd on the IBA world tour respectively) who take the level of technical riding to new heights on home turf. Two times world champion Andre Botha takes on what is arguably Africa's heaviest wave, The Devils Horn, in pristine conditions manages to scoop in and out of mutant perfection.
Many other local and international names are featured in Contrast and it is a film not to be missed.
Contrast will be premiering at Big Bay Lifesaving Club (Eden on the Bay) on Wednesday the 5th of October at 19:00, forming part of the 25th Annual South African Bodyboarding Championships.
There will be a minimal cover fee of R20.00 and copies of the film can be purchased for a mere R70.00. Cash bar will be available for over 18s.
