Busy End of Rip Curl Pro
Tuesday 12 October 2010 BELGAS, Peniche/Portugal: Round 3 of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal has been called in punchy two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at the backup site of Belgas.

Event No. 8 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Portugal completed Rounds 1 and 2 at the primary site of Supertubos, but prevailing offshore winds at the backup site of Belgas have forced today’s relocation.
“We’ve assessed conditions throughout the morning as well as consulted the swell forecasts and we’ve decided to commence Round 3 at 12:30pm at Belgas,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We will monitor conditions throughout the afternoon to ensure we send the surfers out in the best possible surf.”
Up first this afternoon will be current ASP World No. 4 Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, against Matt Wilkinson (AUS), 22, in the opening heat of Round 3.
The Rip Curl Pro Portugal will be webcast LIVE via http://live.ripcurl.com
