The Surf Emporium Surf Lesson and Adaptive Surf Media Experience aims to create an awareness for Adaptive Surfing in South Africa. The short term goal is to provide greater access to more South Africans to increase the number of Adaptive Surfers. The long term goal is to unearth potential South African World Champions.

They have invited media to participate in this experience by learning to surf with adaptive surfers, or assisting in surf lessons with adaptive surfers. Roxy Davis of Surf Emporium has organised with celebrities and media influencers to spend part of the morning with adaptive surfers. The idea is they have to surf with them, but also surf like them!

Morne Morkel pairs up with Elsje Neethling, Nik Rabinowitz will surf with Danie Nel and Spike from Wavescape will pair up with his son Tyler. Later on, Ant Smyth, recent gold medal winner at the US Open Adaptive Surfing Champs in the USA, will be surfing with Dr Michael Mol. New adaptive signees will also be taught how to surf.

Top Right, Khangelu, aka KG, is a weekly attendee of adaptive surf sessions
