Everybody knows this face. Archie. What a guy, super chilled surfer hippie type of guy. This was his last wave at Glen Beach, waving at my flash. Photo:
Taken on the Llandudno lifesaving house deck. They had a tent over the deck for a party that night. Got this shot of some local young bodyboarders checking out the waves. Photo:
Taken at the heavy slab: Sewers, trying not to be taken over the falls! Photo:
This spot is a psycho slab of reef . Only bodyboarders can surf it. The wave does some crazy warping actions as it hits the reef, so you aften get weird looking lips. Photo:
I try to get this perspective but often a lucky shot. Photo:
El Fronton, Canary Islands, Heavy waves, Heavier locals and Happy dayz when you make one of these. Photo:
I swam out at Hoek on a day that was very average. The light was hard to shoot into and hardly anyone was getting waves. Unknown Surfer finding one amongst the chop. Photo:
This shot was taken at Padang right, across the channel from the Padang Padang left. I walked ot as far as I could. I waited for ages to get the fisherman and wave in sync... Photo:
Shooting Llandudno early one morning, I looked across at the left hand side of the beach and noticed all the rocks were still in shadow but the water wasnt. got this pic of the icy water with a crazy backdrop. Photo:
While shooting with my flash setup at Llandudno in the evening, the sky turned on with deep orange colours. I love taking photos of the land or sky from the water because no one can get the same perspective. Photo:
Shot this photo of a young local Llandudno ripper about to get airborne. Photo:
This was shot at Llandudno. I waited for 1 full week of gale force SE winds so that the water got clear enough to shoot underwater waves were small, water was freezing! Arty shot of a surfer duckdiving. Photo:
