Wavescape is seeking a content assistant and new media developer. We're looking for a young, dynamic but conscientious and driven individual to assist in creating exciting digital new media solutions using web 2.0 trends.

You will need a strong working knowledge of JOOMLA, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Flash. You must be able to convert design ideas to web ready files, and show us some examples.

Ideally, you will be recently out of college or have several years in web site development, particularly on the design side. You have a clean, smooth design ethic based on solid typographic and layout skills and philosophy. You love playing at the interface between code and look and feel. You're not tight-assed about your creative vision, but believe in collaboration to get the job done.

You will need a firm understanding of Google Analytics, a sound working knowledge of web pages and modules, including HTML, CSS, and XML and are switched on to social networking (Facebook, Twitter). Basically, you're up to date with the opportunities that web 2.0 offers and of course have a basic understanding of web servers, databases, Search Engine Optimisation and industry best practice.

Ideally, you're also a surfer with an eye for surf news. You don't need to be a journalist, but you must be able to string a sentence together, and be hungry to get content up sharply. You also show a natural affinity for surf trends, events and culture.

To apply, please drop Spike a line to discuss the job in more detail. Click here
