There's been some solid swell on the northwestern tip of Spain for the Pull & Bear Pantin Classic Galicia Pro, but out of nine Saffas, only Adin Masencamp remains standing.

Another new pulse of swell showed up on Day 4 of the Pull & Bear Pantin Classic Galicia Pro and with the women's quarterfinalists determined. The quarters comprise a whose who of the top female pros, including Sage Erickson (USA), Nikki Van Dijk (AUS), Silvana Lima (BRA), Paige Hareb (NZL), Coco Ho (HAW) and Bronte Macaulay (AUS). Little wonder though: 6,000 points are on offer.

Only Teresa Bonvalot (PRT) and Mahina Maeda (JPN) are relatively unknown in comparison to the top tier. In the men's QS3,000, the new swell enabled the rest of Round Three and the first four heats of Round Four to be run.

After a solid start for the South African contingent, they slowly fell by the wayside, entering as the surfers do at different stages of the event due to their Qualifying Series ranking. Natasha Van Greunen and Teal Hogg were knocked out in Round 2, while Nicole Pallet and Bianca Buitendag fell in Round 4 of the women's.

For the men, Jake Elkington was out by the end of Round 2; Shane Sykes and Ethan Fletcher dropped in Round 3, and Dylan Lightfoot fell in Round 4. Due to his ranking on the WSL QS, Masencamp comes directly into Round 4, and will surf in a four-man contest in Heat 16 headlined by Alejo Muniz (BRA).
