Terms and Conditions - Wavescape #choosethebluefish competition

1. This competition is open only to residents of South Africa and excludes employees of The Marine Stewardship Council and Wavescape, and anyone who is connected with the administration of this promotion.

2. Entry is online only at (https://www.wavescape.co.za/surf-news/breaking-news/choose-the-blue-fish.html)

3. Entrants must follow the @MSCinAfrica Twitter page. Entrants must Tweet their entry by including and completing the sentence “I #choosethebluefish because ... ” The answer must show that they understand the meaning of the MSC label and what MSC does as an organisation. Entries must include #choosethebluefish @MSCinAfrica @WavescapeSA. Winners will be chosen from original and correctly phrased tweets. All entrants agree that the copyright for such entries shall be owned by The Marine Stewardship Council. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition. Winners will be notified in the week of the 11th December. The winners will be chosen at the discretion of the organisers and no correspondence will be entered into.

4. The Promoter will not be liable for entries which are incomplete, corrupt or delayed for any reason. Proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

5. The competition opens on [Midnight 9 November] and the last date for receipt of entries is [Midnight Thu, 9 November 2017].

6. All valid entries, which are received by [Midnight 10 December 2017], will be judged by a team from The Promotor. The winners chosen will be at the Promoter’s discretion and all decisions will be final.

7. Delivery of the prize is to be arranged at a time convenient for both the winner and the Promoter.

8. The competition is only open to entrants who reside in South Africa.

10. There are 3 prizes available to win, consisting of Fish surfboards to the value of R5000.00 each.

11. The prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. There is no cash alternative.

12. The winners will be notified by direct message (using the details/twitter handle provided at the time of entry)

13. In the event that confirmation is not received by a winner, or contact cannot be made with a winner, by [Midnight 10 December 2017], a new winner will be selected and the original winner will be disqualified.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify from the promotion any entrant suspected of fraud or cheating including, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter.

16. The Promoter will not be liable for system failures, network errors, its website being unavailable, hacks on the system or personal computer issues.

17. The Promoter’s decision is final in every situation (including any not covered by these terms and conditions) and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. By entering this competition, you agree that the Promoter and/or its subsidiaries, affiliates and/or undertakings may use your name, town or city and details about your entry provided in the entry form for promotional and media purposes, including, without limitation, on its websites, within its magazines or within its promotional emails and press releases, both for internal and external communication purposes, including local and regional media, who will be notified that you have won the prize.

20. Winners will be required to take part in additional publicity surrounding the competition. This will involve selected winners having their photograph taken at [insert location] with their prize. By entering the competition, all entrants are giving their consent to this photograph being used by the Promoter and/or its subsidiaries, affiliates and/or undertakings for promotional and media purposes, including, without limitation, on its websites, within its magazines or within its promotional emails and press releases, both for internal and external communication purposes, including the local and regional press, who will be sent the photograph.

21. The winners may be required to take part in future publicity relating to this promotion and by entering the promotion provide consent to take part in such publicity. All data submitted may be used internally for research and publicity purposes and the Promoter may follow up with entrants by phone or email to request more detail relating to the prize.

22. Entry to the competition shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately on your entry to the competition. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then you should not enter this competition. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
