Durban Beachfront

Image

The Durban beachfront cam is on a timed setting that pans across several beaches from North Beach to New Piew every few seconds. Our script grabs a screenshot at various points as the camera shifts its focus from beach to beach. The camera is provided by Surf Conditions. Image will refresh automatically every few minutes.

We can't get hold of the owner of the cam at the moment since he is on leave and his phone is on voice mail. It's a lot of hard work to manage one of these cams and since we don't have personal control every cam we cannot guarantee that they will always be online. We will keep you updated as soon as we made any real progress.

Well would'nt go as far as to say its a longboarding spot... wait for a solid cyclone/east swell and town comes alive - but we used to get some of the southerly ground swells slipping through that would line up & run off the pier banks, so the new pier glory days don't come as often as they used to...

The Waves 10 - 15 Years ago at Durban were absolutely mental. The Harbour wall Pier extension destroyed the place. Remember Solid Waves bigger than 4 ft everytime I surfed there. Now its a longboarding spot.
