Wednesday: flat on the points and beaches with S winds and not much better on Thursday. Friday forecasting onshore winds from the WSW and swell still under the magic 3m mark so points are going to be too small and beaches onshore. A new swell arrives late Saturday and you could score on the points around sunset but winds will be strong S. Sunday looking good for the points with offshore winds and up to 6ft sets early. Nice.

Forecast Overview

(Spike, Tuesday 5pm 9 March 2010)

Small swell and strong winds from the S on Wednesday so not many options. Swell jacks a few feet on Thursday up to 5ft in the deep south but winds going from SE early to SSW so get it early on the low at 7h30am. Light W winds all day Friday so looks like false bay on your longboard at 2ft max. Hold on, what this... Saturday... jacking swell up to nearly 13secs and hitting 4m so there's swell around but watch the winds. Hopefully some SE comes through late in the day. Strong SE forecast for Sunday and big seas up to 10ft in the Atlantic. Remember the Argus is on Sunday so traffic will be hellish.

Onshores all day Wednesday and small swell anyway and same goes for Thursday but Friday we got WSW winds so clean seas and swell up to 5ft so you got options. Saturday looks even better with some S in the direction and offshore winds so could be epic 4-6ft. Swell picks up on Sunday but ESE winds due all day.

Onshores due Wednesday blowing moderate ESE and there's some E swell around up to 4ft but will be messy and stays that way for Thursday. Offshore on Friday blowing fresh W so clean seas on the way and surf up to 3ft at protected points and a foot or two bigger on the wild side. Saturday looks sweet with offshores all day and just enough swell to get things going up to 4ft. Pity about the onshores on Sunday

Forecast Overview

(Chris, 12h20 Wednesday 10 March 2010)

Wednesday looks great with 3-4' around and W winds for most of the day. Almost no wind by midday and a light NE later. Thursday is less enticing with NE winds blowing moderate, and 3' of swell. Friday still has 3-4' around but the NE blows mod to light. There's onshore, but it could be light enough to not do too much damage. Saturday a solid 4-5' hits from the SW and SW winds blow with it. May not be super clean, but at least it's not onshore. Sunday mod S to SE winds prevail with plenty of swell at 4-6'.

Wednesday there's still 3-4' but the onhsore also continues fresh through the day. Thursday dawns calm with 3-4' of swell. The SE comes up through the day. Friday still 3-4' with a light to mod NE blowing. Saturday fresh S winds blow through the day with 3-4' still around. Sunday winds are variable starting SW and ending NE later in the day with the swell still around 3-4'.

Forecast Overview

(Chris, 12h23 Wednesday 10 March 2010)

Wednesday it's smallish with 2-3' and light NE winds, making it ridable but not epic at most places. Thursday gets a light offshore/ sideshore wind early, but might be more settled and slightly bigger at 3-4'. Friday light winds prevail and the day starts with light SW before going S later. Could be fun early in 3-4'. Saturday could see a light offshore early and there's enough swell for it to look good at 3-5'. Sunday morning also looking really good and clean with 3-5' and land breeze before the E is up.

Forecast Overview

(Chris, 12h43 Wednesday 10 March 2010)

Wednesday is 3-4' with light winds coming from the NE, but don't ignore the possibility of an offshore early. Thursday morning looks great with the SW through and 3-5' of swell. Onshore up light later. Friday is also good early with a light W first, before the E comes up light, and there's enough swell to be fun with 3-4' around. Saturday the spree of surf continues with SW winds and 3-4' of swell. Onshore may come up later. Sunday winds are S going SE and the swell is still 3-4'. Not ideal but surfable.

Forecast Overview

Wednesday there's still plenty of swell at 4-5' but the SSE blows the whole day. Thursday 4-5' still around, with a fresh SSW before going S. Friday SW winds and more swell at 3-4' so it won't be perfect, and may be better elsewhere. Saturday more SW winds and 3-4' makes itok, but nothing special with a sideways wonk. Sunday fresh S/SSE winds blow and 3' of swell remains. Again offish sideways conditions.
