Animated Swell and Wind Charts

Animated charts to help you predict when and where to hit it - all the data you need including swell height, direction, period and wind speed can be found here.

Webcams

A series of web and stills cameras around the South African coast. Most are stills snapshots taken with various frequency during the day, while some are one photo taken by a person early in the morning each day.

Wavescape Mobi

Wavescape has taken key information, including surf reports, video, photos and news, and now publishes it on Wavescape.mobi, or new site for cellphone users.

Get Forecasts by Email

The Spike surf report is emailed out three times a week, on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It includes news, videos and photos of surf and surfing around SA.

Get Surf Report SMS

Send a short code to a cellphone number and get a three day forecast. You can also subscribe to our monthly subscription service that sends you a three day forecast every day at 8am. We do this by region, but you can also get one-off information for a range of beach locations for a more accurate indication of inshore surf heights.
