Nice conditions Friday 2-3' east swell slentering thro. Winds light NW to NE, glassy in morning. Saturday a buster comes up the coast, but has lost momentum by the time it hits Durbs. Surf looks 2' in fresh SSW to S winds early, winds easing to moderate S. Sunday lekker glassy day, with light NW landbreeze at dawn and perhaps a few 1-2' sets. Tide cycle too deep for the dawnie. Monday 1-2' at most in light to moderate NE onshore. Thursday Same again Sam.

I guess if you're lucky enough to be able to go north or south during the week you would have found bigger better swells but am happy just to get a good consistent / shape wave and have fun, good on you to find a better spot ..... Lets hope that "Spike the Sage" has Friday and this weekend buttoned up as good as it looks on the charts and see you guys out at N / NP / where ever it's firing....

i dunno if i agree with that. according to surf report surf was ment to be average in town and coast was ment to be firing.. that it was but surfed umdloti and it was GNARLY!! big fast barrels to big even. ended up surfing for like 40 minutes then coming down to the safety of town and surfed there for like another 3 hours... looks like we in for some magic this weekend again.

Cudo's to Chris the "Wavescape Man" for a 99% prediction rate over the past week and a bit....went out at North Monday (low tide) creased my board...took a walk to the shaper for repair (one day repair time!!!) found someone had beaten me to it (one broken board already there) borrowed a 6ft Trickster (wicked board) went back into the water for the rest of the day...still had time to ride either side of high tide at Dairy (did not surf NP as *&^#*+*! scared I would do this board as well) but watched some sick 3 - 4 ft barrels coming thru at NP between my sets....everyone was chilled no grunting / chest beating / dropping in or snaking....what can I say a perfect day in paradise.....

Been down early this week at North and NP heard / seen nothing...think it's a ploy to keep you out the water...Bru only start worrying when you see a fin and it's not rising and dipping but steady above water (and coming straight at you)....then pannick......
